@inproceedings { , title = {Sunlight and dwellers' emotions towards home: a phenomenological approach.}, abstract = {This paper aims to study the impact of sunlight and daylight on the affective emotions of the dwellers towards their homes. The approach used for this purpose is phenomenological and is based on three concepts : homeliness or familarity, appropriation, and poetic sublimation. In this work, the home is considered as the behavioural setting of this research and two case studies are investigated: traditional houses of both Algiers Casbah in the coastal area of Algeria and the old city of Ghardaia in the northern part of its Sahara desert. The preliminary outcomes presented in this paper are part of a broader research including people's reactions and attitudes, of hot dry regions and of Islamic culture, towards various daylighting and sunlighting strategies in different working and living spaces.}, conference = {2002 Light and lighting conference: comfort and efficiency within interior and exterior lighting systems}, note = {INFO COMPLETE (Now updated and checked 29/3/2021 LM; rec'd from contact, pending abstract once file supplied 15.05.2020 GB) PERMISSION GRANTED (permission rec'd, only requirement to specify date and place of paper publication 29/3/2021 LM; chased 26/3/2021 LM; requested via e-mail to cnri@cnri.ro 15.05.2020 GB) DOCUMENT READY (AAM rec'd from contact 19/3/2021 LM; requested from contact 15.05.2020 GB) ADDITIONAL INFO: Amar Bennadji}, pages = {35-42}, publicationstatus = {Published}, publisher = {Comitetul National Roman de Iluminat (CNRI)}, url = {https://rgu-repository.worktribe.com/output/911726}, keyword = {Daylight in architecture, Natural light in architecture, Architecture and psychology, Domestic architecture}, year = {2002}, author = {Belakehal, Azeddine and Tabet Aoul, Kheira and Bennadji, Amar} }
