OBINNA IHEUKWUMERE

Biography Obinna graduated with an MSc Degree in Project Management from Robert Gordon University in 2017. He is currently a doctoral research student with Robert Gordon University focusing on Oil and Gas Energy Management, Asset Performance Management and Procurement Management. Prior to his MSc, Obinna studied Petroleum Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria, where he graduated with a BEng (Hons) in 2005. He has won multiple scholarship awards from the Federal Government of Nigeria both at the undergraduate and post graduate levels.

Obinna has more than 12 years combined work experience in oil and gas consulting and producing companies. He was the Project Manager at Delta Geosciences Company Limited, Warri, Nigeria, where he managed the field work for spatial data collection across Delta State Nigeria and helped implement the Geographic Information Systems database of the Delta State government of Nigeria. He also worked with an oil producing company in Nigeria where he managed the marine navigation systems for oil vessels belonging to Sterling Exploration and Energy Production Company (SEEPCO), Lagos.

Obinna is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and an Associate Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (AFHEA). He currently supports teaching and learning for both undergraduate and masters students in Contract and Procurement Management at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment, Robert Gordon University. He has published some peer reviewed journal articles within his research areas of oil refinery infrastructure management, energy policy and asset performance management.
