Biography Dr Uchehara Ikechukwu is a Principal Engineer (highways). He is a member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCIHT), and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (M.ClArb) United Kingdom. He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), Council for the Regulation of Engineering Nigeria (Coren) and Associate Fellow Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).

Ikechukwu graduated with a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Enugu State University of Science and Technology Nigeria. With a master’s degree in construction project management (MSc) and a Master's degree in construction law and arbitration (LL.M), he obtained his PhD in sustainable highway design and construction from the Robert Gordon University Aberdeen Scotland.

In a span of 20 years, he worked as infrastructure manager both in Qatar and Nigeria across infrastructure projects such as airport runway, taxiway construction, a wide range of highway projects, micro-tunneling utility and design-related projects. He is currently working in the United Kingdom Local Authority on road and highway infrastructure project development.

Teaching and Learning During the SUM105 : MSc – Construction Project Management student (ODL). Direct learning with the master’s student as a demonstrator, area of focus is construction law, procurement, standard forms of contract, and concepts and principles in construction contract.
