Doctor Umar Khan

Biography Dr Khan joined the School of Engineering at RGU in July 2020 as an Electrical and Electronic Engineering faculty member. He received his received my undergraduate qualification from the COMSATS University Islamabad in 2004, MSc from the University of Bradford in 2007 and PhD from the University of Huddersfield UK in 2018-19.

Prior to joining RGU, Dr Khan worked at Heriot-Watt University as an Assistant Professor in Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering department. Earlier in his academic career, he developed and delivered undergraduate, postgraduate and apprenticeship programs in electrical/electronic engineering at various HEIs in England.

He is actively involved with industrial partners on various projects to provide long term solutions to engineering problems in the field of sensors, instrumentations and magnetic materials. He is a peer reviewer of various high impact factor journals including MDPI sensors, electronics, energy and algorithms.
He is a fellow of Higher Education Academy, a member of IET and a member IEEE.
