Abstract
The third edition of the Media Art Festival was an initiative promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale (Rome) to explore the new frontiers of art, media and culture. The festival was composed of an exhibition at MAXXI National Museum of the Art of the 21st Century and events and talks at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, RUFA Rome University of Fine Arts and Fondazione Mondo Digitale. The 2017 edition featured 35 media artists from 14 countries and major projects funded by the European Union in collaboration with prestigious European partners and Festivals (Spectra Festival Aberdeen, Artic Biennal). The event saw the participation and the attendance of 250 students from 11 schools. Artists included: Joseph Delappe (USA), Gair Dunlop (Scotland), Sigalit Landau (Israel), Kristina Paustian (Germany) Donato Piccolo (Italy), Tobias Daemgen (Germany), Yannis Kranidiotis (Greece). The event had an excellent media coverage (national TV and newspaper) and attracted a large audience.
