Abstract
The seminar drew discussion through a range of questions: How we might determine what is art and what is not art? When and where is it appropriate for the artist to speak for others? When art is camouflaged in every day activity, how might we understand the functional value of what artists do? Where is the unexpected, indeterminate event of art situated? Are there different aesthetics for product and for process or outcome?
