Abstract

This study attempts to explore new forms of appropriation of architectural space by its occupant according to the relationship it maintains to the physical factors of the environment and in particular the sun and its light. The notion of luminous territoriality is introduced as a concept combining the configurational aspects of architectural space with those relating to occupants including use and appropriation. This concept is one of the objectives of a post-installation evaluation which was carried out on the case of the living room of the accommodation collective housing estates in the city of Biskra.
