Professor Gary Spolander
Biography | Gary qualified as a social worker at the University of Cape Town, South Africa before moving to the UK and working in a variety of social work, public health and leadership and management positions in social work and the National Health Service (NHS). He has taught, as well as led and participated in number of international projects. His research interest is international social work, structural inequality, public health, mental health, children and families, early years, leadership and management in health and social care. He is Extraordinary Professor of Social Work, Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of Children, Families and Society, University of Western Cape, Republic of South Africa and Honorary Professor of Global Health and Social Care, Keele University. |
