Biography After completing her LLB (Hons) and professional legal training as a solicitor and barrister of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2011, Joy A. Debski has actively engaged in private practice. Her areas of practice include company law, commercial law, and corporate governance.

She subsequently obtained an LLM in Oil and Gas Law at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, in 2013. She has worked with two of the world’s leading logistics organisations, DHL and Khuene & Nagel, specialising in the complex logistics of transporting equipment for key clients such as Baker Hughes, Stena Drilling and Halliburton in major global energy projects.

Having successfully undertaken doctoral research at RGU, Joy received the award of Doctor of Philosophy in Law in 2023. Her research interests include International Corporate Governance, ESG, the Energy Transition and Environmental Sustainability.

Currently, she is an award-winning academic, working full-time as a module writer, coordinator and facilitator for Employment Law, UK Corporate Governance, and International Corporate Governance at the Law School, Robert Gordon University.

Professionally, she is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), an academic member of the European Corporate Governance Institute, a member of the Energy Institute and the Chartered Corporate Governance Institute. She currently holds unpaid board director positions in two highly regarded organisations in Scotland, in third-sector charity and community groups.
