Biography Dr Griffiths is a Lecturer in Psychology in the School of Applied Social Studies at RGU. She has applied experience of working with clinical populations and the police.

Dr Griffiths undertook her Ph.D. at the University of Aberdeen, exploring the effects of post-event information on eyewitness recall, confidence and decision-making. She then worked as a researcher and intelligence analyst with Grampian Police (now Police Scotland). Dr Griffiths subsequently completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (University of Glasgow), including specialist placements in neuropsychology. She worked as a Clinical Psychologist for NHS Grampian, providing assessment and therapy for children, before joining RGU in 2017.
Research Interests • Mental health: Mental health of children and young people; early intervention strategies; autism spectrum condition; infancy.

• Psychology and the legal system: Factors affecting the reliability and accuracy of eyewitness memory; eyewitness lineup decision-making; perceptions of evidence presented in court.
Teaching and Learning Dr Griffiths teaches on a number of modules on the BA Applied Social Sciences and MSc Applied Psychology. Her main areas of teaching include forensic psychology and clinical psychology. Dr Griffiths is also a Module Co-ordinator (for Year 4 Clinical Psychology & Mental Health and Year 1 Introductory Psychology), Level 2 Year Tutor (for BA Applied Social Sciences), dissertation supervisor and Personal Tutor.
