Biography Eur Ing Dr Mohd Shahneel Saharudin is a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Robert Gordon University, specialising in materials, design, and composites manufacturing. A Professional European Engineer, Chartered Engineer (CEng), and Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP), he is actively engaged in research on hydrogen storage, polymer composite materials, design, and digital/additive manufacturing.

Before joining RGU, Dr Saharudin held key management and research positions at Universiti Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany, where he led projects on advanced composites and environmental stress cracking (ESC) in medical applications. He has successfully secured competitive research funding, collaborated with industry partners, and published in high-impact journals.

Passionate about engineering education and student mentorship, Dr Saharudin integrates industry-relevant design tools and sustainable manufacturing practices into his teaching. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), he actively contributes to curriculum development and research-led learning at RGU.
