Biography Mrs Evie Nikokavoura is currently a lecturer in Nutrition and Food Science at the School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences in RGU and the Course Leader for the online MSc in Public Health Nutrition. Evie graduated from Harokopio University of Athens, Greece with a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2007 and then received her MSc in Human Nutrition and Metabolism by the University of Aberdeen in 2008. She continued her studies and in 2012, she received a Certificate in Counseling Skills by the University of Aberdeen and a MRes by RGU, in the research area of Womens' Health, Nutrition and Behavioural Change. In 2013, she started working at the Rowett Research Institute as a Research Associate at a KTP project, regarding gluten-free products and then as a Nutrition Advisor for projects including recipe analysis and reformulation for food industry partners. She also contributed to the development of the MOOC in Nutrition and Wellbeing and the online short course on Food Choice and Behaviour. Due to her interest in public health promotion and policy development, she later joined Food Standards Scotland (FSS) as a Dietary and Policy Advisor and worked on several projects alongside the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN), the Scottish Government, the Department of Health and Social Care and related organisations. She joined RGU in 2021 initially as an E-Tutor and she progressed to a lecturer in 2022. Evie is also a Registered Nutritionist (Public Health), a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a member of the Scottish Section of the Nutrition Society.
