Biography Emma is a qualitative researcher in the Health. Since starting work in the School in 2018, she has worked across a range of projects on: post-birth care planning, food insecurity and long-term health conditions, low-income families, as well as an evaluation of the Queen's Nursing Institute Scotland development programme, and a CSO-funded project looking at the experiences and impacts of Long COVID on NHS employees. More recently, she co-led an evaluation of a nature-based initiative in Moray, an area she intends to develop in future work. Additionally, she is currently working on two projects looking at women with learning disabilities and specific health issues - breast screening and menopause support.

Before joining RGU, Emma worked as a social worker and then completed her PhD on the experiences of young carers in different caring contexts. Latterly, Emma worked as a social work lecturer prior to moving on to focus on her research career.
