Biography Ikechukwu Nkisi-Orji is a Research Fellow in the School of Computing with background in mathematics and computer science.
During his PhD study, Ike worked on a collaboration with the British Geological Survey (BGS) on developing intelligent information systems involving research and techniques in natural language processing, domain ontologies (alignment and ontology-based retrieval), semantic technologies and machine/deep learning. Recent work includes collaborations in Oil and Gas Innovation Centre funded projects on extracting business intelligence from text and the application of case-based reasoning (CBR) to asset inventory management. He is the key architect of CloodCBR, a generic and robust CBR platform designed to ease the application of CBR to industrial-scale applications, which had an honourable mention at ICCBR 2020.
