Biography An academic lawyer with a bias in Human Rights in general and Economic, social and cultural rights in particular. Whilst in the higher education space for the past 12 years she has also held administrative positions as chair of the Department of Public Law at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology (JKUAT) School of Law and Head of Private Law Department at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) School of Law. She has been nominated as Law Lecturer of the Year (2021) and Civil Society Lawyer of the Year (2021) by the Law Society of Kenya Awards.

Judith's research interest is mainly in human rights. She has published modestly, and is open to collaborate with colleagues within and beyond the law school, for a richer research output and experience.

As the representative of academia, Judith is also a current Council Member of the Governing Council of the National Crime Research Centre, the government of Kenya's think tank on crime research.

Her leadership skills have been tried and tested in her position as the Chief Executive Officer/Director of the East African Centre for Human Rights (EACHRights) a regional human rights organization based in Nairobi. Judith is a Laureate of the French African Young Leaders (Paris 2021) and French African Young Leaders (Dakar, 2022) Leadership programs.
Research Interests Judith's research interest is mainly in human rights. While her comfort zone is in Economic, Social and Cultural (ECOSOC) Rights, she is open to exploring other areas of law, and even more open to interdisciplinary collaboration.
Teaching and Learning Judith is currently pursuing her Professional Teaching Framework (PTF) towards Associate Fellow (AFHEA).
Currently, I teach and support students of Business Law and Mooting and Advocacy Skills.
