Biography Stacey is a Lecturer in the School of Nursing , Midwifery and Paramedic Practice and a practicing midwife within NHS Grampian.
She is a member of the RCM Risk and Improvement Network. As well as being a member of the lecturing staff she is a member of the BLS, IPL and School Outreach teams.

With a background in Education she began her career at University of Edinburgh studying Community Education. It is from there that Stacey made the decision to move to London to achieve a BSc with honours in Midwifery.

She started her early career as a Midwife in London 2015-2017 working between community and the hospital setting. Late 2017 she came to Aberdeen as Community Midwife, later joining the pilot Best Start, Continuity team. It was in London however that she developed an interest in Risk Management and improving outcomes. Stacey was an active member of the Risk Management Team at Aberdeen Maternity giving a community insight to cases that were ongoing.

Having been a Practice Supervisor and Assessor she made the decision to come to Robert Gordon University as a Lecturer to educate future midwives in the value of the importance of evidence based family centred care. She feels as she was a Continuity Midwife herself she is in a unique position to support future midwives with this element of their practice.

She leads the School Outreach Programme alongside the Widening Access team.

She is currently working towards her PG Cert Learning, Teaching and Development.
