Project Description
Maintaining offshore wind turbines represents a considerable logistical and practical challenge. This innovative project involves the collaboration between the fields of engineering and ergonomics to develop and test a new product which has the capacity to revolutionise maintenance of large structures. Applied to offshore wind turbines, this development requires validation with task analysis and a small pilot study to generate data which quantifies the effect of this new device compared with a traditional approach. RGU's role in this is to deliver task analysis of the job requirement in a mock maintenance rig, and to pro
