Abstract
This was the first symposium organised by the REWIND Italia research group, which was funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). The event was jointly supported by the Università Roma Tre (Department of Communication and Entertainment) and the University of Dundee (Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design). The REWIND Italia project aimed to highlight the importance of early video art experimentation in Italy, particularly seeking to renew international interest in the development of Italian video art in the 1970s and 1980s.
