Abstract
This thesis describes the design and construction of an automatically patched, general purpose, digital stochastic computer. Also described are the automatic patching system and the software which has been written to operate the machine in conjunction with a PDP/8E minicomputer. Some applications of the machine are investigated and suggestions as to further work are made.
