Associate Professor
This book is the first in-depth study, in English, of contemporary art in Macedonia. Featuring a critical introduction, and over twenty interviews with contemporary artists, cultural workers, curators and writers, this book offers space for a range of voices, providing a deep understanding of the role of the critical contemporary artist in Macedonia, and the cultural contexts in which they operate. Jon Blackwood is a lecturer at Gray's School of Art, Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, and is also a freelance curator.
