Chancellor's Fellow
This video is part of the "Research Revealed" series by RGU, which seeks to highlight the breadth of high impact research being undertaken across the University. This video focuses on mental health issues among young people. Mental health services across NHS Grampian have been facing increasing demand for many years, as they respond to what is being called a "mental health crisis" among young people. What's new is that clinicians are now reporting that children are presenting with more complex mental health needs than ever before, which is putting even more pressure on an increasingly resource-limited NHS. In this video, William Ball (Chancellor's Fellow) highlights the need to better understand health inequalities across society and effective ways to reduce them.
