Biography Rosa has worked in health and social care for over a decade, in various roles in the third sector, secondary care and now in higher education.

Rosa studied mental health nursing in 2014 and after qualifying in 2017, began working in a communtiy mental health team. In 2021, Rosa left the NHS to join RGU as a lecturer in mental health nursing. She maintains clincial practice by working in as a bank staff nurse at a specialist unit for adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues.

Along side nursing, Rosa maintains a freelance artistic practice and works with local councils and charities to offer arts based workshops. Prior to nursing, Rosa worked with third sector arts organisations in a creative arts and wellbeing workshop co-ordinator role and in research roles. Rosa studied the History of Art with an interest in Outsider art and the therapeutic potential of the arts.
Research Interests Including lived and living in higher education and research, gender and psychiatry, psychological trauma and recovery, the arts and health.
