Biography Andrei Petrovski received his PhD from RGU in 1998, where he continued working first as a Research Fellow, then as a Lecturer, and since 2012 as a Reader in Computational Systems. He has been an active member of the Computational Intelligence, Mobile Computing research groups, and now leads the Cyber security research theme in his department.

His research expertise includes intelligent data analysis through computational modelling, optimisation and decision support. He led and was actively involved in a number of research commercialisation, knowledge transfer and consultancy projects, making significant contributions in several application areas including the energy sector, cyber-physical systems, and health informatics.
Research Interests Practical applications of computer-assisted measurements, smart instrumentation, fault diagnosis for predictive control and maintenance. Andrei uses these technologies for monitoring cyber-physical systems, improving versatility of instrumentation systems, as well as for adding intelligent features to these systems (sensor fusion, adaptive and predictive control, fuzzy diagnostics and calibration).
Teaching and Learning • Computational Systems including distributed and cloud computing; virtual systems support
• Computer networks and IT infrastructure
• Cybersecurity of Information and Operational Technologies, IoT, and wireless sensor networks
