Research Interests Observing the boundaries between architecture and the reality of our cities through the lens of a magnifying glass sometimes leads to paradoxical, even ironic results. In broad terms, Silvia is interested in architecture as a form of knowledge in search of affective experience in space and against reductive forms of knowledge, while both her research and teaching focus on the potential of urban voids. Imaginative knowledge is Silvia’s favourite form of resistance to commodification of spaces
