| Biography | Dr. Md Junayed Hasan, an expert in signal processing, computer vision, big data analytics and machine learning, specialises in intelligent condition monitoring with explainable AI. Currently at National Subsea Centre, he develops AI-driven systems using optical, infrared and sonar sensors for diverse applications, from addressing fuel poverty to ocean exploration and energy transition challenges. With over six years of research experience, he has built scalable AI models for industrial applications, including rotating equipment, auxiliary systems, belt-driven machinery and static plant equipment. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Ulsan in 2021, with prestigious Brain Korea (BK21) fellowship from National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) and multiple research awards. He has accomplished more than 30 scientific articles, provided support for dozens of industrial projects, and made significant contributions to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 9, 11, and 14. |
