Dr Esther Idehen
Research Interests | My research area focuses on women's reproductive health, specifically migrant women's health, healthcare service access and utilisation, specifically migrant women's cervical cancer screening participation and HPV uptake., etc. In my PhD research, I examined facilitators and barriers to accessing and utilising cervical screening services among migrant women in Finland and employed quantitative and qualitative research methods. Dr Idehen's previous roles include but are not limited to lecturing in health and nursing-related studies at various universities, researcher (international projects) at the Finnish Research Institute for Health and Welfare (in English) and adult nursing care and managerial roles in multiple hospitals in Finland. |

Teaching and Learning | Dr Esther Idehen is a lecturer and module coordinator for the Master's degree programme in Public Health and health promotion. Dr Idehen's roles include research, teaching courses on Global Health, Investigating and Supporting Health and well-being in Communities, students' tutoring, and supervision of PhD and Master's dissertations, etc. |
