Biography Deirdre is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Lecturer in Human Resource Management across undergraduate, postgraduate and industry courses. Deirdre is a Human Resource professional with 20 years experience and holds an MSc in Human Resources from RGU and CIPD membership.

Deirdre has a track record of providing HR advice, solutions and delivering projects successfully across both private and public sector client base, with particular knowledge and expertise of resourcing and the energy industry. She is also a Certified Mental Health First Aider and Facilitator with British Psychological Society Accreditation at both Level A and B, which includes MBTI, 16PF, Birkman and Belbin.
Teaching and Learning Deirdre brings 20 years of HRM practitioner knowledge and experience to this faculty role.

Deirdre has lecturing and module coordination experience: developing course materials and learning activities and teaching on postgraduate, undergraduate programmes and SFC industry courses. Deirdre has also undertaken module coordination across undergraduate, postgraduate and upskilling modules.

Deirdre's additional responsibilities include working with students as Research Project / Dissertation Supervisor acting as a guide, mentor, source of information and facilitator. She was awarded an RGU STAR recognition for teaching in 2020. Deirdre has a strong focus on welfare and providing pastoral student care whilst delivering the values of RGU. Deirdre is committed to promoting academic attainment and inspiring student employability and ambition.

Deirdre has completed DEM033 and DEM022 and attained FHEA status in 2023.
