Biography Birago is a Lecturer in the Supply Chain Management Department at the Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, UK and currently in the latter stages of her PhD in Sustainable Supply Chain Management.

She holds an MSc in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management from Robert Gordon University, and a BSc in Biochemistry from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.
Birago is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) and has a certificate in Ethical Procurement and Supply from CIPS.

Birago brings into her teaching over 12 years of industry experience gained from working in various Supply Chain Management roles in diverse companies both in the UK and Africa.
Some of these roles include Sustainable Supply Chain Manager responsible for Compliance and Certification; Warehouse Operations Manager for a UNAID funded Antiretroviral Drugs Program; Demand Planning Manager for portfolios of +£20million annual Demand, and as a Business Support Manager.
Key industries include FMCG, Pharma and Horticultural and Fertilizer Production.
Research Interests Birago is interested in research that covers
- Sustainability in Businesses with a focus on Micro Small and Medium enterprises
- New trends in Supply Chain Management practice
- Research related to Developing Economies.

She is adept in the use of research tools to enhance both Qualitative and Quantitiave research outputs.
Teaching and Learning Birago is a module coordinator and currently teaches within the Procurement and Supply Chain Mangement Team.
