Biography Morag completed her Chartered Accountant (CA) training with KPMG within the audit department and then transferred, after qualifying, to the tax department where she gained many years' experience - ultimately as a Tax Manager with KPMG.

Morag has worked closely with professional accounting bodies including Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in relation to university accreditation.
Research Interests Morag's research interests are gender issues in Professional Accounting Service Firms and accounting education at university and professional level.
Teaching and Learning Morag Matson is a lecturer in Taxation and Financial Accounting. She is also the Module Coordinator and teaches on the following modules:
BS4113 Personal and Business Taxation
BS4214 Corporate and Capital Taxes

Morag was also the Programme Lead from 2017 to 2022 for BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance and BA (Hons) Accounting and Management.
