Biography Lindsey has worked in accounting education for more than 20 years, teaching and developing courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

She is passionate about widening access to Higher and Professional education to improve access to professional roles for students with non-traditional backgrounds. Her current role as Program lead for the Graduate Apprenticeship (GA) in Accounting has allowed her to work effectively with SDS, ICAS, ACCA and a wide range of students from a variety of backgrounds who are eager to enhance their future career prospects. The innovative GA program has required Lindsey to be adaptable and resourceful as she has worked to integrate the professional syllabus into the online, work-based learning degree and to deal with the consequences of the COVID 19 pandemic on students who have been disrupted in both their education experience and workplace.

As a senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Lindsey is knowledgeable in relation to accounting education and able to manage teams and projects. She has strong inter-personal skills and enjoys working with others from different backgrounds who have a common goal.
Teaching and Learning Lindsey is an Academic Team Lead in the Accounting department with responsibility for the Graduate Apprenticeship in Accounting and the Online Learning Professional Accounting courses.

Lindsey Stewart lectures in both Financial and Management on the undergraduate Accounting and Finance degree. She also teaches Financial Accounting on an ad-hoc basis for ICAS.

She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
