Mrs Jay Munro
Biography | I am a creative individual who enjoys a challenge, originally working within the arts and then, the games industry - before becoming an experienced educator within the School of Computing at RGU. I currently hold the position of Lecturer, and also lead two courses - those being Digital Media (2 Year Articulation) & Computing & Creative Design (4 Year). Alongside being passionate about the blend between arts & computing in HE; I am also interested in pedagogy and research projects/opportunities that align with immersive technology, games, animation & graphic design areas. |

Research Interests | In regards to research, key areas I am interested in exploring include (but are not limited to); - Immersive Technology; VR/AR, Experiences for Wellness, Immersive Techniques, Storytelling. - Animation; Hybrid, Motion Graphics, Inclusivity. - Games; Narrative, Procedurally Generated, 'Feel' Engineering. - Accessibility; Games, Animation, Graphics. |
Teaching and Learning | Within the area of teaching - areas I teach in include Creative Design, 2D Animation, 3D Character Animation & Games Development. My interests & experience span beyond these areas into further topics such as immersive technology, games design & accessibility and related areas. I am passionate about pedagogy in relation to teaching practice & bettering the student experience based on lessons learned.
