Biography Alison is Academic Team Lead in the Department of Accounting and Finance. She is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of progressive accounting & finance experience in industry, 10+ at management level leading numerous finance teams in both the Energy sector and the Fast Moving Consumer Goods Sector. She has wide ranging experience of dealing with overseas companies and taxation regimes in the Far East, Europe, Canada and America.

She joined RGU in 2015 as a Lecturer and has also been Head of Stage and Course Leader before taking on the role of Academic Team Lead. She specialises in teaching both Financial Accounting and Management & Cost Accounting.
Teaching and Learning Alison is one of the CIMA Global Champions. This award recognises academicians, faculties and student bodies that have launched successful campaigns to create awareness and promote the CIMA professional qualification within their campuses.

One of Alison’s areas of interest is in developing and maintaining liaisons with professional and industry partners. She is interested in new technologies being introduced in accounting departments and has recently embedded Cloud Accounting workshops into two of her modules.
