Biography Dr Aditya Karnik is currently a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, UK. Previously worked as Research Associate in Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London. He has also previously worked as Senior Development Engineer in Multiphase Modeling Group at CD-adapco (now Siemens).

He has extensive experience on modelling particulate flows both for dilute and dense situations. Previous works have employed different computational approaches: Eulerian-Lagrangian (particle tracking) and Eulerian-Eulerian (two-fluid model). Has experience on modelling turbulent flows using a hierarchy of descriptions: DNS, LES, RANS.

He been a reviewer for Applied Thermal Engineering (Elsevier), Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research (ACS) and Scientific Reports (Springer Nature) journals.
