ABDULSALAM ABDULKARIM

Biography Abdulsalam Abdulkarim is a PhD candidate specialising in CO₂ sequestration and caprock integrity in depleted hydrocarbon reservoirs. With over seven years of professional experience in subsea and petroleum engineering, he now focuses his research on geomechanical stability and leakage prevention in CO₂ storage. Prior to his doctoral studies, Abdulsalam graduated from Cranfield University with an MSc in Subsea Engineering and worked as a Subsea Engineer at the Federal Institute of Oil and Gas, Nigeria. Currently, he is an active member of the UK CCS Research Community and the International Association for Carbon Capture, contributing to the advancement of safe and sustainable CO₂ storage solutions.
