Biography Obinna joined Robert Gordon University as Lecturer in Procurement, Supply Chain Management and Operations Management in August 2023. Prior to this, Obinna has also work as An Associate Lecturer at Buckinghamshire New University for almost three years.

Obinna successfully defended his PhD viva voce in February 2024, Obinna's PhD was focused on the practice of third-party logistics in Nigeria and the development of a third-party logistics decision support tool for companies in Nigeria who may be contemplating the use of third-party logistics. Obinna's PhD corrections have been completed and approved by the examiners. Obinna is currently awaiting his awarding document/certificate.
Obinna's previous research (2021) relating to third party logistics practice in the UK indicated labour/driver shortages - partly as a result of Brexit, which later caused supply chain disruptive impacts in the UK as experienced in the third quarter or 2021 because of shortages of HGV drivers.
Currently, Obinna is working on a research project that investigates the UK's Enterprise Investment Scheme. Obinna recently made an oral presentation of a systematic literature review that investigated the underpinning theories behind government intervention schemes around the world to promote the funding of micro, small and medium scale enterprise and start-ups at the 13th International Conference on the Restructuring of the Global Economy (ROGE) August 2024 at the University of Oxford. The paper was voted the best paper at one of the sessions in the conference by the peers.
Obinna has also worked on different teams including:
Preparing a £3 million budget for a DHL project;
Running an airline in an airline simulation;
Leading a supply chain business simulation.
