Biography Abigail is an alumni of RGU, having studied Design for Industry at Gray’s School of Art – which she followed by running her own small creative business.

She has since gained over 15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry in various roles from offshore mudlogging to geoscience exploration for various operators and supply companies. She is a true lifelong learner having completed her MSc in Petroleum Geoscience whilst continuing to work full time and moving on to complete her PhD as a mature student.

Abigail’s research interests include quantification of GHG emissions from the energy system, sustainability, circular economy and climate change mitigations. She is currently undertaking a PhD in Environmental Engineering at the National Decomissioning Centre: investigating the environmental impact of decommissioning by quantifying greenhouse gas emissions associated with decommissioning in the energy sector, specifically the oil and gas industry.
