I am currently pursuing a multidisciplinary PhD focused on Harnessing Machine Learning to Predict the Toxicity of Novel Antimicrobial Drugs. This research combines expertise from both the School of Pharmacy, Applied Sciences & Public Health and the School of Computing, Engineering & Technology.
The core aim of my PhD is to leverage existing drug testing data from online databases and apply machine learning models to predict the toxicity of novel antimicrobial compounds. This research builds upon my previous academic experience, allowing me to expand on the skills developed during my undergraduate degree and honours project.
For my honours research, I conducted an in-depth study using RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) and RStudio to explore the effects of butyrate on endometrial epithelial cells, whihc helped deepen my understanding of ceelular biology.
