Biography Rachael is a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader on the BA (Hons) Events Management course at Robert Gordon University.
Research Interests Rachael completed her PhD at the University of York with her doctoral research exploring social interaction and extraordinary experiences. Rachael’s current research interests include social interaction, group experience, and the role of supernatural tourism and folklore in contemporary society.

Rachael has experience in qualitative research methodologies specialising in conversation analysis and the use of video to analyse social interaction.
Teaching and Learning Rachael co-ordinates modules across the BA (Hons) Events Management course teaching in events, tourism and sociology. She also co-ordinates the two live event modules. In addition, Rachael supervises undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students, and has experience teaching in an international context.
