Biography Dr. Barron is currently a lecturer in Biosciences. After undertaking her undergraduate and PhD studies at RGU, she undertook postdoctoral work on a FP7-SME EU funded project in the Photobiology Unit, School of Medicine at the University of Dundee.

She returned to Aberdeen as a Research Fellow in the Centre for Obesity Research and Education (CORE). Dr. Barron is a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy, FHEA (2019), a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (2013) and Royal Society of Biology (2014).
Research Interests The effect of natural products on cancer
Cancer therapeutics: DNA damage and repair
Cancer diagnostics: Biomarkers
Teaching and Learning Dr. Barron lectures undergraduates (Years 2-4) in subjects relating to:

Bioanalysis
Bioscience and Society
Omics Technologies
Biomedical Science Honours projects and dissertations

Dr. Barron's teaching and learning roles cover a range from module coordinator to 4th year tutor.
