| Biography | Dr Kay joined the University in January 2005 after a brief spell in industry as a development chemist. Previous to that he was employed at Edinburgh Napier University as a researcher in organo-medicinal chemistry. He was educated at Edinburgh Napier University where he gained a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Chemistry and a PhD in Anti-Cancer Medicinal Chemistry. |
| Research Interests | Dr Kay's research interests lie in the areas of medicinal, organic and pharmaceutical chemistry. His key research skills include: Organo-medicinal chemistry, Mass spectrometry, NMR and IR spectroscopy. Specialist research facilities available to Dr Kay include the medicinal chemistry research laboratory and the NMR facility. |
