Research Interests Dr Grant completed his PhD on The Identification And Exploitation Of Entrepreneurial Opportunities On Family- Owned Estates In The North East Of Scotland in 2020.

Current research interests include entrepreneurial motivation, the entrepreneurial process and entrepreneurial identity in Scottish SMEs.
Teaching and Learning Module design and coordination for:

BS2293 Business Ideas and Opportunities - a very large experiential Undergraduate enterprise module in which students prototype and test business ideas in an accelerated timeframe
BS3040 Business Ideas and Opportunities – an innovative new multidisciplinary version of BS2293
BSM539 Entrepreneurship Contexts – a postgraduate theory-led module
BS3060 Business Opportunities – on business model design and business planning.
Thesis supervision to full, part-time and distance learning undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA students primarily in the areas of entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation.
