Safety in numbers: an investigation into reductions in road traffic collisions and casualties across NE Scotland between 2011-2020
People Involved
Project Description
Road collisions and casualties are reducing across Scotland; the reductions are significant and sustained. These significant reductions are mirrored over the same timescale for local casualties among the six nationally identified vulnerable road user groups. While that reduction is a significant road safety achievement in its own right, exactly why it has occurred remains unclear. With an array of quantitative data available, there is a need to capture qualitative data with a view to identifying key issues which have led to the reductions to date.
