Project Description
According to the World Heart Federation, cardiovascular diseases are one of the most prevalent causes of morbidity and mortality in almost two thirds of the world population. In Mexico, most patients don't have a timely diagnosis or access to specific treatments for cardiovascular disease.
This project will develop support tools for the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases, specifically pulmonary hypertension (PH), based on the analysis and processing of medical images, deep learning and data science.
These tools will benefit the public health sector of Mexico City with our partners including the "20 de Noviembre" National Medical Centre. Our expectation is that these tools will provide significant advantages in the reduction of time and man-hours to diagnose patients.
In collaboration and partnership with Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México
