L'immediatezza del presente: Luca Maria Patella, Rosa Foschi, Marcello Di Donato. [Exhibition]
Abstract
"L'immediatezza del presente" ("The Immediacy of the Present") was an exhibition that brought together the donated works by Luca Maria Patella, Rosa Foschi and Marcello Di Donato from the Centro di Ricerca ed Archiviazione per la Fotografia (CRAF) archive. It was the first such occasion on which these works had been collectively exhibited to the public. Luca Maria Patella (Rome, 1934), considered one of the main European artists of the twentieth century, has a multi-disciplinary approach that has allowed him to propose with originality the relationship between art and science, what he calls "Arte e Non arte", deepened through complex semantic and technical relationships. Patella is convinced of the need for dialogue between different fields of knowledge. In addition to undertaking various artistic and photographic endeavours, Rosa Foschi has also devoted herself to poetry, has made eight short films in animated drawing at 35 mm, and has won various prizes at national and international festivals. After studying scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples in the mid-1980s, Marcello Di Donato (Cava dei Tirreni, 1962) has dedicated himself to photography and, in particular, to experiments with the photographic techniques of the POLAROID SX-70.
