Abstract

Associated gas (AG) flaring is declared illegal in many countries, however, the practice continues with impunity in most oil-producing countries like Russia, Iraq, Iran and USA, Venezuela, Algeria and Nigeria among others. Though may only occur in certain circumstances such as emergency shutdowns, non-planned maintenance, or disruption to the processing system. The accompanying file to this output was one of four student presentations focused on Nigerian issues and the energy transition in developing countries.
