Abstract

In this invited talk as part of the Maternity and Midwifery Hour series, Mo Tabib presents some recent work into Emotional Intelligence (EI). We know how stressful the maternity services landscape can be, and this is often because staffing levels impact on midwives' ability to be "with women". This recent study into utilizing an educational programme on Emotional Intelligence (EI) has produced some interesting findings, with benefits for both women and midwives.
