Lessons learned: exploring equitable access to healthcare with Black, Asian and Global Ethnic Majority women in Aberdeen.
Neshat-Mokadem, Leila; Dube, Betty; Kerr, Aisling
Abstract
This presentation covers the lessons learned from a research project that sought to establish a diverse, collaborative panel consisting of members of the public, academics and third-party sector representatives. This panel was established with a view to breaking down barriers to engagement and co-creating research questions relating to equitable access to healthcare. The presentation emphasises the themes of "reaching in" rather than reaching out, inclusive research project design, and building confidence among hesitant demographics.
