Summary I was recognised for my research and contribution to the energy community and my passion for young professional development through my teaching and learning impacts on my modules; renewable energy management and energy policy, sustainability and transition hence, I was invited as a Panel speaker by the Society Of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Nigeria council to speak at the SPE, Nigeria Annual International Conference & Exhibition(NAICE 2024), Young Professionals Workshop, themed “Marketing Trends & Economic Outlook in the Downstream & Midstream Sector: Roles and Opportunities for Young Professionals” on Monday, August 05, 2024, 12:45 – 4:45pm at the Africa and Asia Eko Signature Meeting Room, EKO Hotel & Suites, V.I, Lagos to discuss with other panelists. I spoke on the preparedness of young energy professional’s transition from a structured academic environment to the world of work professional world, drivers to encourage young professionals to academic research areas in the energy industry and the role of collaboration and communication in creating positively impacts on energy projects or initiatives to largest group of young energy professionals in Sub-Sahara Africa with over 200 young energy professionals in attendance.

The conference also availed me the opportunity to network with people in the Nigerian energy industry.
