3D printed piezoelectric thin films for composite material damage monitoring

People Involved

Project Description

A combination of organic (PVDF) and inorganic (BaTiO3) piezoelectric materials will be combined to create 3D printable filaments. The 3D printed layers will be embedded into composite materials to create a sensor network that will be used to monitor fatigue damage accumulation in composite materials.
