Sustainable Production of Bitumen Substitute from Waste Tyres
People Involved
Project Description
This proposal aims to evaluate the feasibility, performance, and environmental benefits of using bitumen produced from waste tyre in road construction. The trial aims to determine the suitability of this alternative material as a sustainable option for road paving and assess its potential economic advantages. The trial will focus on using bitumen derived from waste tires as a partial or full replacement for conventional bitumen in road construction. It will involve laboratory testing, small-scale field trials, and a comprehensive evaluation of the material's physical properties, performance, durability, and environmental impact.
